Our fourth featured rider is Brian Taylor seen here with his usual Maclean outside the Bell at Standon, Herts. He's been cycling for 20 years, mainly as a tourist, although he did time trial with the Essex Roads for a couple of years. His main claim to fame is completing 4 Paris-Brest-Paris events, with another to come in 2007. He's also one of two penny farthing riders in the 'A' Section. Brian is active in the Essex CTC having been the chairman for 5 years and secretary for the past 2 years, he also organises the Windmill Ride. Unusually for our group he is, as a mere youngster, still working part time in hotel maintenance, but his main business for some 30 years was furniture restoration. He is married to Janette.
