Events  for 2018


 

Founders’ Day Ride: Forty Plus CC marks Founders' Day (5 April 1951) by running events on or around that date each year. The Surrey and Sussex section runs a 38.5 mile (62Km) ride and this year’s event is on Tuesday 10th April.

 

An entry form is not required and non-members are welcome but do contact the Section Secretary, Valerie Taylor, if possible by email, before 3rd April.

Havering Cycling UK (CTC) are celebrating their 50th anniversary with a ride on Sunday 3rd June from Stapleford Airfield to Hatfield Heath for a picnic on the green. All 40+CC members welcome. Meet in the cafe at the airfield from 10:30 for an 11:00 Hrs start. There are additional refreshments available at Hatfield Heath - 2 pubs, team rooms and Co-op in the village. Essex Tour: All members of Forty Plus CC are invited to take part in the Essex Tour on Thursday 5th July, starting and finishing at the Bricklayers Arms, Stondon Massey. The 62 mile (100Km) route is a shorter version of the 2016 ride. For additional information see the Mid-Essex page.

 



North Herts: Visiting the West Midlands in May. A week's stay on the borders of Worcestershire/Shropshire/Herefordshire, staying in a Converted Hop Kiln near Tenbury Wells, from 11th to 18th May. See front page for an incident on the second day.
