Ten riders met at the Broadway Fountain for our run to Northill and The Crown for our lunch stop. Andy, John, Paul, Geoff H, Roy, Jack, Steve, Kevin, myself Stuart and Mia who was leading today. We cycled to Arlesey where we were met by Nige and Adrian. We continued to Shefford, Ireland, Cardington, Cople and our destination of Northill. The outward journey being a little over 20 miles. Ron a potential new member met us at The Crown for lunch. A nice lunch was had in the pleasant garden there, if a little slow on the delivery. Andy, John and Nige didn’t stop for lunch, they were happy with a cuppa before cycling back to Hitchin. After our lunch the rest of us set off through Old Walden, Southill, where Roy, Ron, Paul and Adrian peeled off with the rest of us riding via Broom, Langford, Henlow and Arlesey where we all split and went on our own way. It was a pleasant day for the most part, some hazy sun, a little wind from the north, nothing too much. My total mileage was 37 at an average of 13.
