What a lovely morning for a ride today. We started from the fountain with Five – myself, Andy, Kris, Adrian and Mia (leading). We headed for the Woodyard café at the Luton Hoo via Great Wymondley (where Nigel and Steve joined us), Whitwell, Bendish and Peters Green – luckily there was little wind today although it was quite mild, but for most of the route the ground was wet and, in some places slippy, with water and mud from the fields – so a pleasant ride out to Luton Hoo but very Hilly. In fact the temperature was so mild today that Kris decided to wear his summer gear – Shorts and Tee shirt (see photo).
We arrived well on time for the Lunch and was met by the other section members :
Geoff P, and Peter – Nine in total.
Food at the Woodyard café was nice and the service was also good.
Geoff and Peter returned home together and the remaining seven of us returned via the Copt Hall road, Preston and Gosmore (with Adrian branching off through Lilley).
