Twelve riders met at the fountain on this rather dank morning. We set off in two groups consisting of six riders in each group. The first group consisted of Geoff H, John D, Mia, Kevin, Jack and Alan, who rode via Bygrave, Ashwell, Guilden Morden and Shingay. The second group consisted of myself Stuart, Steve, Tina, Martin, Angie and Geoff P, and we rode via Newnham, Ashwell, Steeple Morden and Abington Pigotts. The outward journey was not very pleasant weather-wise, heavily overcast, misty and light drizzle throughout. Both groups arrived at The Hoops at the stroke of midday for what turned out to be a very enjoyable lunch. After lunch, the weather had improved considerably. We set off in the same two groups, with Alan’s group going via Eyeworth and Langford and our group going directly back via Ashwell and Newnham.
