Our Rides
On a typical Tuesday, we have five different rides allowing members to choose a ride to suit their ability and inclination. Rides start variously at St Albans, Hatfield, Harpenden and Welwyn / Potters Heath with occasional car-assist rides to explore further afield. Tuesday rides normally start with coffee, followed by a ride to lunch (less than 10 to over 20 miles depending on the group), and then a ride back home – typically we leave the lunch spot in groups according to home destination. Please take a look at About Our Rides for information on typical ride distance and pace.
In addition to the scheduled Tuesday rides, many of our members get together to ride on other days. The Extra Mile is ride group goes out on a Friday, weather and volunteers permitting with rides organised close to the time via Social media. If you would like to join one of their rides, please speak to Deb Kirby (see contact details for The Extra Mile below).
We also enjoy cycling abroad, e.g., Majorca and one to France.

SUMMER SOCIAL AUDAX
On 16th August the Forty Plus CC is hosting a summer social Audax ride starting from St Albans. With three distances to choose from – 50km, 100km and 160km (100 miles) – we very much hope that this event offers something for all our members, their guests and other cyclists who fancy joining us for the day.
